Why Life Surge Is a Magnet for Top Christian Speakers

Editorial Team

Get elevated with Christian organization Life Surge as funny man Jeff Foxworthy and motivational speaker Nick Vujicic share tales of triumph.

When Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow takes Life Surge’s stage in Dallas-Fort Worth on March 8 alongside the likes of motivational speaker Priscilla Shirer and Hall of Fame running back Emmitt Smith, he’ll do so to an audience of approximately 14,000 faith-filled entrepreneurs seeking to, as Life Surge’s slogan suggests: “surge their lives God’s way.” Life Surge bills itself as one of America’s fastest-growing Christian businesses.

“We have an interesting problem that we didn’t have when we got started,” recalls CEO and founder Joe Johnson, “and that is every speaker that we know of wants to speak for Life Surge, whereas when we started, we had to beg people and we had to do whatever we could. Now we have the opposite problem. We just do not have the room and speakers are coming to us and reaching out, asking: ‘How do I speak for Life Surge?'”

Dallas-Fort Worth will be just one of many stops on Life Surge’s tour de force across the nation in 2025.

Where Life Surge Is Headed Next

Shortly after its stop in Texas, you can expect Life Surge’s highly-rated events to pop up in the following cities for one-day live events.

  • Life Surge will head to Honolulu on March 29 with Shark Tank star Robert Herjavec and pro surfer Bethany Hamilton, who inspired the film Soul Surfer
  • On April 5, comedian Jeff Foxworthy will speak at Life Surge’s live event in Huntsville, Alabama, with top motivational speaker Nick Vujicic, who was born without arms and legs but has gone on to become a New York Times bestselling author.
  • On April 12, Duck Dynasty’s Willie Robertson and Auntie Anne’s pretzels founder Anne Beiler will venture to Reno, Nevada, for a life-changing Life Surge event. Author John C. Maxwell will also be present.
  • On May 3, Life Surge will journey to Omaha, Nebraska, for a live event with actress and author Patricia Heaton, who starred in The Middle and Everybody Loves Raymond, and pastor, author, and “Leadership Podcast” host Craig Groeschel.

What Life Surge Attendees Can Expect

If you have never been to a Life Surge event, Johnson recommends arriving on time and maintaining an open mind.

“When people come to Life Surge they’re going to experience what we call the ‘Four W’s of Kingdom Impact,’ says Life Surge’s founder Joe Johnson. “One is worship. They’re going to really have a time of worship with common like-minded believers. They’re going to acquire wisdom from our speakers and the content. They’re going to learn more about work in terms of the role of work in their faith, and they’re going to learn more wealth creation strategies.” Each featured speaker must pass one strict criterion with Johnson and his team: keep it real. “Be who you are, who God created you to be, and don’t be afraid,” says Johnson. “Don’t be afraid of the critics. I probably have learned a lot from them about not being afraid and just being obedient to what God has called you to do. But at the same time, they’ve really inspired me. I think they inspired our staff. They’ve inspired the attendees in terms of how to really walk their faith in the marketplace, how to walk their faith in what they’ve been called to do.”

As Life Surge speakers receive glowing reviews from attendees, it’s clear that this team wants to continue surging lives with positivity and prayer.

Choosing speakers that align with Life Surge’s Christian foundation is something that remains essential to the organization’s popular live events.

“We learned that they’re actually the same people backstage, that they are on stage. That’s a very important factor for us,” Johnson says of its ever-expanding list of notable names that speak at its events. “Authenticity is our No. 1 criteria. They have to be authentic.”

According to employees, this culture of authenticity extends throughout the organization, not just on stage.
