Interfaith Philadelphia and the Interfaith Council of Southern Delaware County host an Interactive Program for Children in Grades K-5 to Explore and Celebrate Diverse Faith Traditions.
The Interfaith Book Trail is a 3-session program designed to acquaint children in grades K-5 with the rich tapestry of faith traditions within their community. Through interactive activities and exploration of books from host faith communities, young participants will visit local places of worship, ask curious questions, and forge bonds.

“There’s something magical about seeing children connect with each other as they learn about their neighbors’ faith traditions and visit their places of worship. A door to conversation and friendship is opened during book trail sessions that can pave the way to continued interfaith encounters that nourish head and heart.” said Marilyn Berberich of Interfaith Philadelphia.
Children engage through hands-on activities that promote unity and diversity. They will:
- Nurture an understanding and appreciation of others and their own faith traditions
- View and read a book/story from the religious tradition of the hosting congregation
- Explore themes presented in Interfaith Philadephia’s Passport to Understanding – Be Curious, Venture Out, Welcome In, Stand Tall, and Stand With.
